still, still, still, the weather is ill
96, let it send a gift to an old beauty
the brass band echoes in the backyard
when the magnolias perfume, greats the evening star
the couple on the hill, stares at the mill
woody water bubbles, into the craftsman shop
a green lair, hidden secrets at the turn of the screw
when the nightingales greats the morning star

Poem 31
the fire creeped, shattering the glass
orderly street into turmoiled stream
a loud shout, awakened the passersby
at home, a family took cover
when a month went by, forgotten
a distant memory of a troubled summer
orderly street into turmoiled stream
a loud shout, awakened the passersby
at home, a family took cover
when a month went by, forgotten
a distant memory of a troubled summer

Poem 30
It’s the devil’s wind; it’s the devil’s wind.
Robert passed by and said hi!,
The moonlight hugs the Kitchen floor
Ever changing, but never changing.
It’s the devil’s wind; it’s the devil’s wind.
Red hair down, Lisa rundown!,
Leaves scattered upon the grass
Ever changing, but never changing.
Robert passed by and said hi!,
The moonlight hugs the Kitchen floor
Ever changing, but never changing.
It’s the devil’s wind; it’s the devil’s wind.
Red hair down, Lisa rundown!,
Leaves scattered upon the grass
Ever changing, but never changing.

Poem 29 (b)
by the window,
the football game unfolds
two fools, each on its shore.
no bridges, just water.
a cat, a dog, a parakeet
and the lizard at the gate.
setting suns, rising moons.
a case of books.
qui non hai el Polo,
only southern stars.
the football game unfolds
two fools, each on its shore.
no bridges, just water.
a cat, a dog, a parakeet
and the lizard at the gate.
setting suns, rising moons.
a case of books.
qui non hai el Polo,
only southern stars.

Poem 28
Too frantic
Tick-tock, tick-tock
The tube rushes by
No time, no time,
Says the rabbit.
Turn off. Sleep gently
Wake up not, but when
The marigolds blossomed
Lay low, unfazed
Be nice, be nice,
Stay out of sight.
Tick-tock, tick-tock
The tube rushes by
No time, no time,
Says the rabbit.
Turn off. Sleep gently
Wake up not, but when
The marigolds blossomed
Lay low, unfazed
Be nice, be nice,
Stay out of sight.
