Poem 18

baldness, love and defiance
a two of hearts dating the moon
everybody has secrets
no long the book can be written
if on the roundabout i turn left
i find happiness
if on the roundabout i turn right
happiness i find
eyes so close, so close to the cliff
an itching beneath the skin
a stomach ache
keep it hidden, tell no one
if on the roundabout i turn left
i find happiness
if on the roundabout i turn right
happiness i find

Poem 17

let’s leap, my dear
even to a derelict house
let’s leap
and get wrapped and wrapped
in our quirky grace
knees covered with a blanket
of silvery bees
let’s leap, my dear, let’s leap
throw caution to fire
prudence to salt
be trailblazers, take the risk of dare
my gift to you
is of no understanding
one, two, three steps,
let’s leap
and if you’re my change, be it
